Holly's Heroes : Crossing the lineMaterialDela
  1. Holly...
    You've crossed the line, Holly.

  2. No, I haven't.

  3. That's
    a cross-court violation, Holly.

  4. You have to be
on one side or the other.

  5. Weird.

  6. -It's our biggest fund-raising event.
-We know. We do it every year.

  7. Follow the roster, and the Movie
Marathon will be bigger this year.

  8. -Joel, opening speech.
    -Why me?

  9. You're the captain.

  10. -Got a date lined up?
    -No time for that.

  11. -Scubi, who runs the snack bar?
    -Oh, yeah. Me.

  12. You've got a sales target. Meet it.
    - Got the tickets and the cash float?

  13. I'll oversee everything else.
    Good luck, everybody.

  14. Joel? We have to
    work on your speech.

  15. Jot down three or four points. I'm
busy now, but I'll help you later.

  16. Movie Marathon tomorrow, be there!
    Movie Marathon. Be there!

  17. This will be our biggest money-maker
ever. - What happened to you?

  18. I was on the river
and some kid fell in. I got him out.

  19. -Pull the other one, Johnno.
-It's true! - You saw it, didn't you?

  20. -How many tickets do you want?
    -We won't support the Rams.

  21. You're going to miss out
    on six great movies!

  22. -What's this doing here?
-Movie Marathon for the Travel Fund.

  23. I'd buy a ticket
if I thought you'd go away.

  24. I don't know why
we bothered with a horror film.

  25. Nick gives us a freak show
    every day of the week!

  26. Hey!

  27. Fraser!

  28. -Nick goes looking for trouble.
-It never used to be like that.

  29. He was around here all the time.
    Everyone really liked him.

  30. -Nick used to play with Joel.
    -They were friends?

  31. Best mates. Played for the Rams.
    Even dreamed of being Boomers.

  32. But who wants to talk about boys?

  33. -Getting better.
-Still needs work on that cross-over.

  34. -Get lost, Joel!
-I can show you if you want.

  35. That'll be for you. I'm playing
with Holly. It'll be Trish anyway.

  36. Are you psychic?

  37. -Should you play with an Outlaw?
    -Dad won't know.

  38. -And this isn't real basketball.
    -Okay. Try and stop me.

  39. -Be careful. It's a dangerous game.
    -Especially against Nick Fraser.

  40. -Not bad.
    -Guess who?

  41. -Told you so.
    -What does she want now?

  42. -Chop, chop. Off you go!
    -Don't keep her waiting.

  43. -When's the wedding?
-Only if you two are bridesmaids.

  44. Was that a joke?

  45. The knock on the head
    must have improved his personality.

  46. -Sounds like a fun party in here.
    -Come on in.

  47. Figured you'd need cheering up
    after your run-in with Peterson.

  48. The more I annoy him,
    the better I feel.

  49. Is that how you feel about Joel too?

  50. -You guys were best mates, right?
    -Who told you that?

  51. Jacinta. So what is it
    with you guys? What happened?

  52. -You don't want to know, Holly.
-Who else are you going to talk to?

  53. Joel's not that bad. For a Ram.

  54. Look, I've got some stuff to do.

  55. -Maybe I'll see you at the Marathon?
    -Yeah, maybe.

  56. He's a prickly fish.

  57. Whenever I try to talk to him,
    he gets angry.

  58. -What's your next move?
    -Aren't you the coach?

  59. Nick's got problems, and the only
person to sort them out is him.

  60. Couldn't you talk to him?

  61. I like the way you play, Holly.
    On court and off.

  62. -Full on offense. In your face.
    -Keep it up.

  63. -You might play for the Opals.
-Tall Ferns, if you don't mind.

  64. -Thought I'd nab you for Australia.
-Sorry, Max. I'm still a Kiwi.

  65. But I will definitely end up playing
    professional for someone. See you.

  66. Joel, we have to rehearse
your speech. Not later, Joel. Now!

  67. I've got two dates! I asked
    Charlie McCorkindale first...

  68. Charlie McCorkindale, from Moolang?

  69. Then Dominic Bacon invited me.
He was so sweet, I couldn't say no.

  70. -Scubi, you're hopeless.
-Like I can't handle two guys?

  71. You're going to be busy
    selling snacks.

  72. Oh yeah. But it'll be sweet. I can
do both. They're coming in shifts.

  73. Bacon first, then Charlie
    for the romantic comedy.

  74. -I'm glad someone will have fun.
-Six movies. Nine hours of viewing.

  75. -Can we please go, Johnno?
    -We are going.

  76. But the Rams won't get our cash.
    Meet our money-maker!

  77. -Lamburgers?
    -No, mate. Ramburgers.

  78. -Nine hours. That's a lot of hunger.
    -Lakers, here we come!

  79. Hello? Nick?

  80. -That's your problem. Don't blame me!
    -Nick! Come back here, now.

  81. No way, Dad. Forget it.

  82. -What are you doing here?
-Thought you'd come to the Marathon.

  83. You haven't got
any other problems to sort out?

  84. -It's just that I said...
    -Think I need help?

  85. You've been in town for five minutes
    and think you know everything!

  86. You don't have a clue,
    Holly, so get lost.

  87. -He was fighting with his Dad.
-And took it out on you.

  88. What is it with guys?
    I just don't get them.

  89. -Hey, Scubi!
-Charlie! I thought we'd meet later.

  90. -I figured I'd get my money's worth.
-Great! Let's go save some seats.

  91. -What about my popcorn?
    -Back in a minute!

  92. Hello, everybody.
As you all know, I'm Trish Jenkins-

  93. -organizer of the fifth annual Rams
    Movie Marathon Fund-Raiser.

  94. I would now like to introduce to you
    the Rams Captain Joel Peterson.

  95. Thanks for supporting the Rams.
It's going to be a great Marathon.

  96. -Your brother's doing really well.
    -She's going to murder him.

  97. Trish, you might
    want to say something?

  98. Joel meant to say that Woolich
has been supportive of the Rams-

  99. -and we're delighted that
    you're here, continuing your support.

  100. Start the movies!

  101. Proceeds from snacks in the foyer
go towards the Rams Travel Fund!

  102. Thanks again, and on with the show!

  103. -Aren't you on duty?
-Why do you think I'm here?

  104. -We should call her over.
    -Don't!

  105. -You can't stay here.
    -Why not? - Holly?

  106. You're just doing this to annoy me.

  107. -Get your Ramburgers!
    -What if nobody buys anything?

  108. We push the smell to them. They'll
    come running like lemmings. See?

  109. -Maybe.
    -Trust me!

  110. -Frozen patties. I'm thirsty.
    -You can earn a drink.

  111. Do promotional work.
    - Ralph! Give us a hand.

  112. What's in it for me? I want choc-tops
for all my friends. Six of them.

  113. All right. Fine. Just put this on.

  114. Okay, walk around inside
and up and down the stairs.

  115. Ramburgers here!
Get your fresh and hot Ramburgers!

  116. -Seen Joel?
    -Sorry.

  117. -And where's Scubi?
    -Beats me.

  118. Charlie came early, and Bacon's due.

  119. -Why aren't you at the snack bar?
    -I am! I mean, I will be.

  120. There he is!

  121. Maybe you could
    hide behind the counter?

  122. -Hi, Scubi!
    -Hi, Bacon.

  123. Did you know this film
    was nominated for five awards?

  124. And it won for best directing.

  125. -You want something to eat?
-Yeah, can you get me ice cream?

  126. -Want to come pick a flavour?
    -No, you choose one.

  127. Joel, move.

  128. -Holly?
    -Oh... thanks.

  129. What is your favourite
    ice cream flavour?

  130. Hokey-pokey.
    It's like...you know, honeycomb.

  131. And this is a bit weird. Why does he
want to know my favourite ice cream?

  132. Thanks.

  133. Tell me something.
    What makes you happy?

  134. -Go on. Say it.
    -Say what?

  135. -I could have hurt Joel.
-Basketball's got to be fun, Nick.

  136. And you're not
having too much fun, are you?

  137. -Shame to let him ruin it.
-It's nothing to do with Joel.

  138. Who then? You?

  139. I don't know.

  140. Sometimes I feel...
    Like everything's out of control.

  141. Why is that, do you think?

  142. If I told you, I'd have to kill you.

  143. Go on, then. Finish me off!

  144. -Move.
    -You move.

  145. I got you chocolate.

  146. Holly's favourite is Hokey-pokey.
It's a Kiwi flavour. Like honeycomb.

  147. I know that.
But we don't have it here, do we?

  148. And what a deal.
    Two dollars twenty-five per movie!

  149. Scubi, this is great, but would you
mind if we moved up the back?

  150. Yeah, sure.
I'll just go get us some snacks.

  151. Hey!

  152. -Thought you'd forgotten me.
    -Sorry, Bacon. Huge queue.

  153. That's okay, Scubi.

  154. Here.

  155. Need some drinks!

  156. I don't believe it. What is he doing?

  157. -That's mine!
    -What?

  158. -I know what you can do.
-Might as well run it all myself.

  159. No! To make Joel jealous.
Go in there and sit with Bacon.

  160. Not bad. But you can keep Bacon.

  161. I'm Trish. Don't tell me... Charlie
    McCorkindale, from Moolang High?

  162. Hi, Bacon. - Next.

  163. Get your Ramburgers here! Can't see
    a movie without a Ramburger!

  164. -For you, Singhy?
    -Four Ramburgers, thanks.

  165. -How'd you hurt your arm?
    -Funny story.

  166. I was at the station
and some lady was on the platform.

  167. She was standing right on the edge...

  168. I was in my back yard
    on my sister's tricycle-

  169. -trying to make a Funniest Home
Video, when it tipped over and...

  170. Keep 'em coming. We couldn't
make it any faster if we printed it.

  171. I saw Boomers last year.
I want to see the Tall Blacks.

  172. -Have you seen Phill Jones play?
    -He's one awesome shooter.

  173. -So you know Kiwi basketballers?
    -I'm interested.

  174. -We're interested in the movie.
    -Speak for yourself.

  175. -This is a private conversation.
    -With my friend.

  176. -I've got every right to be here.
    -No.

  177. -Says who?
    -Me. Holly's my friend.

  178. -So?
    -You are so pathetic, Joel.

  179. So, you're a friend of Scubi's?

  180. Don't be ridiculous.

  181. -Sorry Joel's being a pain.
    -Oh, he's fine.

  182. -He's just trying hard.
    -And you're letting him.

  183. -What do you mean?
-Can't you see he's up to something?

  184. -He's coming on to you.
-No, he's just trying to be friendly.

  185. Holly, this is Joel, my brother.
The most arrogant Ram there is.

  186. He's just sitting with us.
If we get along, isn't that good?

  187. You took on the Rams.
Now you want to side with them?

  188. Maybe it's time we stop taking sides.
Why can't we all just be friends?

  189. It's Nick against Joel,
Joel against Nick. What's the point?

  190. -Because Joel is a Ram.
-They're not that bad. Not even Joel.

  191. -I thought you were my friend.
    -I am.

  192. Then you should know that you
can't be friends with my brother.

  193. The word hamburger is deceptive.
    It doesn't contain ham.

  194. Our snack bar takings
are down by fifty per cent.

  195. And strictly speaking,
    these shouldn't be called Ramburgers.

  196. -Most sheep killed for meat are ewes.
    -What are you talking about?

  197. They're calling it a Ramburger.
    The guys outside.

  198. -Joel, Jacinta's kind of annoyed.
    -Is she? Why?

  199. Joel, what's going on?
Why are you sitting with us?

  200. Ever thought how different it would
be if we played for the same team?

  201. Is that what this is about?
You want me to play for the Rams?

  202. -Like Dad would ever let you.
    -Then what?

  203. What if there were no Rams?
    No Outlaws, no basketball?

  204. -A world without basketball?
-Yeah, we could just hang out.

  205. Together.

  206. I like the way you stand up for
yourself. And you make me laugh.

  207. -Joel, I...
    -You're needed.

  208. We have an Outlaw problem.

  209. -The people voted with their bellies.
    -Rams bought most burgers.

  210. You're making money off the Ram's
good name. Hand over the profit.

  211. Are you just going to stand there
    and look stupid?

  212. This is an official Rams event.
    Hand over the cash, Johnno.

  213. -The Rams don't own the street.
    -Nor do the Outlaws.

  214. -No one was forced to buy one.
    -They thought they were Ramburgers.

  215. We called them Ramburgers
    in honour of the marathon.

  216. -It's cheating.
    -It's good business.

  217. At least we make money,
    unlike some people.

  218. Are you going to stand for that?

  219. -Give us the money.
    -Our takings are way down.

  220. We've got a superior product.

  221. I'm calling the Council.
    You don't have a permit.

  222. One permit granting us permission
to trade here for 24 hours.

  223. -You don't have a leg to stand on.
    -Sucked in, Rams.

  224. The burgers were so good,
    we've sold out.

  225. Come on. They're not worth it.

  226. -Good one, Holly.
    -"Hand over the profits."

  227. -You've got to be kidding.
    -Outlaws never lose.

  228. -Nice going.
-Us Outlaws have to stick together.

  229. I'm sorry about this afternoon.
I had a fight with my dad.

  230. That's fine.

  231. -We can still catch the last movie.
-I'm not here for the movie.

  232. When I joined the Outlaws, I thought
    basketball would solve my problems.

  233. -In fact, it's made them worse.
-You know we can sort through that.

  234. You don't give up, do you? Are you
going to let me say this or not?

  235. I'm quitting the Outlaws.

  236. -Nick, you can't. We need you!
    -Holly, I need time out.

  237. Max reckons that sometimes "me"
    should come before "we".

  238. Okay.

  239. You know we'll all be here for you.

  240. Sometimes it's hard to choose sides.

  241. But sooner or later,
you've got to choose a direction...

  242. ...and keep moving forward.
